Month: May 2026

UK Market Insights

  • Insurance search visibility in the UK is led by comparison and information providers rather than insurers themselves. Compare the Market, GoCompare and MoneySuperMarket generated the highest overall visibility across insurance-related search journeys during May.
  • Comparison platforms continue dominating high-intent insurance discovery. Compare the Market alone generated more than double the visibility of most traditional insurance providers, reinforcing the importance of aggregator-led search behaviour.
  • AI search presents a different competitive landscape. Aviva generated the highest share of conversational brand mentions (4.38%), ahead of MoneySuperMarket (2.67%) and Admiral (2.53%), indicating strong brand recognition within AI-generated recommendations.
  • GoCompare, Which? and MoneySuperMarket emerged as the most cited sources across conversational insurance discovery, highlighting the growing influence of trusted consumer guidance and comparison content in AI search.
  • Insurance conversations increasingly extend beyond insurance products alone, with strong visibility across travel, health, home and automotive insurance categories, creating broader opportunities for brands with diversified offerings.
  • Sentiment remains largely positive across leading insurance brands. NFU Mutual, AXA Health, Bupa and Aviva recorded some of the strongest net sentiment scores across AI-driven insurance conversations.

US Market Insights

  • Traditional insurance search visibility is dominated by major insurers and comparison resources. Allstate, Liberty Mutual and GEICO generated the highest overall visibility across US insurance searches during May.
  • AI search favours trusted publishers and financial information sources. US News, NerdWallet and Reddit generated the strongest citation visibility, demonstrating the growing role of third-party content in influencing insurance discovery.
  • State Farm generated the highest share of AI brand mentions (3.67%), narrowly ahead of Progressive (3.64%) and GEICO (3.38%), highlighting intense competition among the largest US insurance providers.
  • Conversational search places greater emphasis on insurer brands than traditional search, with AI assistants frequently referencing insurers directly rather than relying solely on comparison sites and aggregators.
  • Health, home and auto insurance continue driving the largest share of insurance-related search demand, with insurers competing across multiple product categories rather than single-line offerings.
  • Brand perception remains a key differentiator within AI search. The Hartford, Travelers, USAA and Nationwide recorded some of the strongest sentiment performance, suggesting trust and reputation continue playing an important role in conversational recommendations.
