Econsultancy: Why internal links and hub pages are a major factor in SEO success

This article highlights the importance of internal linking and the creation of hub pages. Examples from the Guardian and the Mail online where used to look at their internal linking strategies. Data from our SEO platform Pi Datametrics was used to show that a number of the Mail’s pages were ranked on Google for the search term ‘World Cup’. Every time a new piece was published on the World Cup internal cannibalisation was occurring and Google was unsure which page to rank the highest.
